Mission

Our Mission

We formed in 2018, and our honorary founder is a nine year-old student with a love for animals and reading.  She has been visiting the local shelter walking pups and playing with kittens over the last year, often stopping to purchase much needed supplies with her own hard-earned money from chores and farm work.  While our homes are currently full, we believe we can help local shelters and rescues re-home pets more quickly by raising awareness through children's reading programs, and at the same time, improve children's reading skills and confidence.

Our mission is to educate and empower children to make a difference in their communities by establishing relationships with community-based shelters and rescues.  Through animal safety education, reading and other community programs, we hope to reduce the stays of adoptable pets in shelters or rescues in our area.
