In mid-June, we learned of a major adoption event in Indianapolis that takes place twice a year. With little time to assemble our resources, we successfully pulled 5 dogs from a local shelter to attend the event. It was a long weekend, and we were super tired and sore, but all 5 dogs found great new loving homes! Not all pups and kitties in attendance were as lucky, so many are back at a shelter near you still waiting. See you all again in October, MEGA team!
We are gearing up for our Fall reading program, scheduled to run between October and December 2018. We will accept enrollments from students in elementary grades in the Shelbyville area, and reading sessions will take place on Saturday mornings. An informational session will be scheduled in the coming weeks, where students will learn how to safely read to shelter pets.
